wobblingPosted by Dawn on October 09, 19100 at 15:04:10: In Reply to: Balance posted by Marian on October 08, 19100 at 19:02:08: Great story, Marian! The only advice I would offer, Norma, is that if you experience pain as a result of your ankles being together(either during or after practice), then by all means put them a little apart. Every day or every week or whatever, challenge yourself to put them a little closer together. If you experience no pain, then give Marian's method a try. I once asked Frank if I should only go down as far as I could without assistance when I was doing the wall squats or go all the way down and he said, go all the way down. So, by degrees, I have stretched out my muscles and tissue that the chi may flow more freely in its work to raise and lower my body. I still have to have assistance at the very bottom, but it is coming, slowly!
: I started Chi Lel in May. I wobbled terribly when I began and for quite a while. But I just kept doing the best I could to follow the directions, not pushing but just relaxing and doing what I could. : My balance is remarkably better now for Lift Chi Up Pour Chi Down. Almost no wobbling with my feet together. The improvement happened so subtly that I didn't even notice it until one day I thought, "Why, I'm not wobbling." I read that Chi Lel is supposed to help balance, and it certainly seems to. : Now I am starting the Sequence 9 recently discussed on the forum, and I am having trouble with that similar to what others mention. But I hope that by taking the Forum advice,I will be able to proceed on this, too. : Best of luck. Let us know how it goes. : Marian :
