Wall squats

Art and others have mentioned about doing wall squats with the aid of a telephone book. It seems harder that way to me since I don't like to wear shoes to support my feet when I'm doing chilel. I do it about 6 inches from the wall and go down half way or more. I seem to be getting down further every day but I can only do it with Luke Chan's tape and I get into an almost hypnotic like state. The more I focus on the chi field coming into my body as I'm going down and out into the universe as I'm coming up, the further down I can go. I'm finding that it's important to totally relax as I'm going down and let the relaxing chi go all the way down to my feet. I find that it's so important to feel that the chi is doing the work and not my muscles. The first time I did Luke Chan's tape with 100 wall squats I had really bad leg cramps that night ( I think because I was using my muscles instead of letting the chi do the work). I've never had any more problems with leg cramps since the first day. I'm still not close to the wall yet and not going down all the way but even if it takes me 2 years to do it I'll feel good about it. I don't have any specific questions but just wanted to mention my experience with wall squats since I've been hearing so much about them. Actually the one reason I love doing them so much is because I feel that they probably help bring calcium into the bones. I was diagnosed with osteoporosis in my hip bones about 8 months ago. After doing some natural treatment for osteoporisis (calcium and ipriflavone) and doing chilel for a month, tests showed that my bones are taking in calcium. I believe that the wall squats play a big factor in building up the bones. I'll have another bone density test done in February and I feel that as long as I keep squatting I'll have thick strong bones like a youngster!
Love and chi to all,
Norma
