Jim,
Thanks for an interesting message. I have some questions.

1. When you say the practice used in "the hospitals," do you mean in China?

2. What practice is used for this 20 minutes, 2 times a day to reduce blood pressure: Is it Three Centers Merge?

3. In the hospitals, did doing this eventually mean one had no blood pressure problems? Or does one have to continue doing this every day to keep blood pressure at normal level?

Hope you don't mind so many questions, but any answers you can give would be helpful to me.

: I teach qigong and to see how effective the lift the knee and circle technique is I am in day 12 of a 100 day gong of doing 20 minutes each day of that exercise to see how it will affect my blood pressure for me it has brought up to 120/80 which is considered normal and now I wll continue to see over time what the results will be. It is still early and truly we need to think in terms of a 100 days minimal and a lifetime as actual reality. There are many medical studies that say meditation absolutely drops the blood pressure and we have the three centers merge meditation and it would be interesting to add that and do 100 days. I have a web site on a meditaiton technique that expands the awareness into the infinite and uses no matras which is what we move to achieve in our chi-lel practice. So if you cannot stand for 20 monutes twice a day and meditate ( that was the time used in the hospitals to achieve reduction of blood pressure) then email me at if you would want the other information. Doing the three centers would be a good way to maybe channel all that energy.

: : I have been doing LCUPCD for nearly a year now and attended Frank's workshop in July. I have more energy and less back problems. The problem is that my blood pressure, which had been stable and considered borderline to mild hypertension for years, has been higher than ever since this summer. I feel there is some relationship with the Chi because I have felt such a powerful amount of energy. I stopped doing wall squats, but I am determined to complete a year long gong of the LCUPCD. Are there some people for whom another form of body/mind excersise (say Yoga) would be more suitable? Any comments would be much appreciated.
