Norma,

It is my understanding that two of the important issues with Chi-lel are 1, relax and 2, do the form the best you can and progress from there. If you are creating tension and wobbling at this point by keeping your feet together, it seems logical to separate them so that you are comfortable, then over time move them closer little by little until they are together. One of the reasons that I do Chi-lel every day is that it is so enjoyable for me to do - I look forward to it. So I suggest making it enjoyable.

Happy balancing,

Jim

: After doing Chilel for a month I'm still having problems with balance when my feet are together. At first when practicing I'd put my feet a little bit apart so I could keep my balance but later on started putting my feet together even though I have trouble with balancing. I focus my mind deep into the earth and it doesn't seem to help. It puts strain on my ankles since they are constantly working at keeping me in balance. Is it better to continue with my feet together regardless of balance or should I have them a little bit apart? I thought that maybe over time my balance might get better. Thanks for any suggestions I can get.
: Loving Chi to all,
: Norma
