Hi Norma
I think that spontaneous movements are normal. they seem to happen for some people. I think the difference between SCQG spontaneous meditation and chilel that SC encourages the outer movements to balance the chi. In chilel the movement seems to be more internal. I've done both and enjoy doing both.
As far as the mingmen, the movement is similar to LCUPCD when the knees are bent and we bend down to the floor, lowering the body three times. each time your body raises up, the movement begins in the mingmen, or the way i prefer to visualize it is flowing up through and around my feet, up my legs, on to the mingmen and then on up the body. The feeling I sometimes have is that a string is lifting the mingmen and I would be floating were it not for gravity! So, with the wall squats, the movement is similar. Think of a powerful force flowing up and raising your body with the mm as a focal point. There are places in the wall squats where it is difficult for me, and I think this is a combination of physical fatigue and mental wandering, much like hitting the wall in an endurance sport. I refocus and it becomes much easier. I think our thinking habits make it that physical skill is necessary to be able to do them, but "with chi all things are possible" (witness the disappearance of bladder cancer on the video tape!)

: I have a couple questions about the chilel practice. First is a question about the 3 centers merging. I am used to the spontaneous movement of the Soaring Crane Qigong. When I'm in a very relaxed state I tend to move spontaneosly. When I do the 3 centers merging and the energy starts moving, my body does slight swaying movements along with the energy and occasionally my body does spontaneous adjustments in position. Is this normal?
: The second question is about the wall squatting. I've heard that you can let the chi do the work instead of your own efforts by doing something with the mingmen. Is it by focusing on it, making it round or what? I've just been focusing on chi coming into my whole body when I go down and then the chi going out to the universe or blue sky when I come up. I'm not sure where the mingmen fits in. But I do try to round the mingmen area when I go down. I haven't gotten past the point where its an effort but am slowly getting better. I would appreciate any advice on this. Thanks.
: Love and chi to all.
