I too have tend to have distracting thoughts -- at times a lot, other times not so much. When I am aware of a distracting thought, I just say to myself very gently "no distracting thoughts" and I bring my mind back to Chilel. I have also been doing a longer tape (45 mins. lcupcd twice and 3 centers merge combo) and I find that my mind usually settles down by the time I get to the second round of lcupcd. Other times, I will be deep into the Chilel and thoughts/memories/feelings pop into awareness -- I see these as clearing out old emotional stuff and again, I just note them and then tell myself "no distracting thoughts."

There are occasionally days when I am extremely distracted with thoughts (fortunately not too often) and I just do the best I can -- for me it is important to be consistent with doing my practice and to not let my mind come up with excuses for not doing it.

Hope this may be of help!

: I've been doing chi lel for a little while now (am into my second gong). Much of the time lately, though, I have trouble focusing, or find my thoughts wandering a lot, with various doubts popping up, etc.

: I feel like I should be doing much more, seeing that I have a debilitating health issue, but for now I'm having a hard time just sticking to doing LCUPCD once a day. This is probably my third try at a second gong, and I'm determined to finish it.

: I guess I try to imagine chi at various points during my day, or think of the affirmations--"every cell in my body is healthy" etc...but I have this wandering focus and doubtful thoughts(which I do answer with positive affirmation). I'm concerned that this is holding back my practice, and wonder what I might be able to do to help this.

: I do think I'm feeling some chi, anyway--I get these tremors in my body that seem to be coming from my mingmen area, it seems to me. Could logically be my condition but I like to think it's chi. I only get them when I practice, and every time too lately.

: Thanks and much chi to all...
