I also have high blood pressure due to hypertension and have been able to cut my medicine in half since practicing chi lel. I also still have some anxiety attacks, although not nearly as much as I used to. Mine occur at night and I am so restless that I cannot even lie down in bed. So I get up and do Six Directions. The instructions are on this web page. That really helps anxiety.
I live in an area of Indiana where people have terrible allergy and sinus problems, which I have had all my life. They are almost all gone now. They started improving about 3 months after I started my first Lift Chi gong.
But please take your blood pressure medecine as your doctor suggests until you get it under control since chronic high blood pressure does damage the kidneys. You might also try something from Level 2, the Body Mind Method in which you are standing up with one leg lifted about a foot off the floor, then make little circles with your ankles. Also in the same posture pull your foot upward and flex your toes, then lower your foot and repeat. Do these 2 for about 10 minutes and I bet your blood pressure will come down. I do that quite a bit during the day when I feel it go up. If you don't have anything to take your blood pressure with, it is a really good investment so that you can check your progress of what works and what does not.
Good luck and believe me, this really does help blood pressure problems. Just stick with it!

Try Six Directions though or even La Chi if you cannot do the whole Six Directions.
: In the past few months (since July), I have had trouble with anxiety attacks, aggravated allergy symptoms and the onset of hypertension. Disappointed and aggravated with the traditional western medicine approach to these problems (i.e., takes lots of medicine!), I started attending a Falun Dafa class in my area. After learning some of the problems with that particular branch of Qigong, I finally found Chi lel Qigong and have began practicing it one week ago.
: I'm wondering if anyone reading this message board has had success with Qigong treating the three problems I have listed. Also, since my physician is anxious to prescribe medication for my blood pressure (currently at 150 over 90), I'm wondering how long I should allow to see if Chi lel eliminates the need for the medication.
: Can anyone help me?
