Using the mindPosted by Art Bingham on November 03, 19100 at 06:55:54: In Reply to: ChiLel All Day posted by NancyCA on November 03, 19100 at 00:11:46: : : The difference between exercise and qigong is the connection to the core center in the middle of the lower back holding that in awareness and moving from that point. So eventually each breath each movement we make 24 hours a day becomes qigong practice. : : : I have read in a couple of descriptions of Qigong that one should not do Qigong during the day, that it should either be done early in the morning or in the evening. Does anyone know if there are any similar restrictions for Chi lel? : Chi Lel can be done any time of day or night, though it is recommended that a person choose a time the same every day. But in China they practice all day, and if you go to a workshop you'll find yourself practicing in the morning, afternoon, and evening. Great fun! And very powerful. Much love and chi, NancyCA (One can use the mind and practice it almost all the time - even when the body can't) Jim and NancyCA, You both mention the fact that by using the mind one can practice Chi lel almost all the time. Can you give specifics about how one does this? I am just now feeling like I can do lcupcd without the aid of the video, so I'm wondering if you mean that I can occasionally try to visualize myself doing the exercise and reap similar benefits. Or, do you mean that I will benefit by keeping my awareness focussed on ming-men while breathing? Thanks for your responses! Art
