I have a hint that you may be trying too hard, pushing to do something because you feel you are "supposed" to. This shows up in doing Chi Lel even though you don't want to, don't feel the chi, hurry through the intro. You might want to try to approach your practice sessions with a different attitude and purpose. For example, really allow all the time for the introduction. Allow the chi time to fill you up. Sometimes I find Luke's guidance is too _short_, that I just want to keep expanding into the horizon, and stay in infinity forever!! And it is usually at the point where Luke says, "Feel the chi all around you...." that I get an overwhelming sense of chi and of the chi field. For me, it is a tingling sensation, a sense of fullness, of movement, and the emotion of elation and somewhat boundless!
I eagerly anticipate the form to follow.

Instead of doing LCU three times a day (good for you!) perhaps vary your practice with Three Centers Merge, or some wall squats or a gong of some movements from the Body/Mind Method (level 2). In our all-too-human quest for variety and fulfillment, there can be such a phenomena as too much of a good thing.

Although the chi follows the mind, when one tries to control the chi, this is aggressive and manipulative and, believe me, the chi doesn't like it! It is always more effective to invite and to point the way (focus) than to force. So allow some play and delight into your practice.

I'm sure others will have some good ideas, too. keep us posted how things go for you, and we'll add you to our chi list, too.
: When Luke says in the LCUPCD tape to "feel the chi all around you...feel the chi deep inside," I am not sure exactly what one is to feel or imagine one feels. What does chi feel like, and how long does it take before one really begins to feel it rather than just imagine it? In any case, I am practicing LCUPCD every day, three times a day, though I usually quicken/shorten the intro just a bit because it does not seem to take all that long to expand the body in six directions. And by the way, have others experienced an aversion to doing the exercise after a while? I find I definitely do not look forward to it, but do it anyway.
