Hi Jim,
I have had that experience as well and I find when I close my eyes and make sure that the supporting leg is bent at the knee and that I visualize my leg and chi rooted deeply into the earth I stabalize myself for the sequence. I have also found that in doing this practice in different parts of the world my balance is better in some places more than others. Curious?
Hope this helps.

: I've been doing Body - Mind Method (Level II) for about a year and am still struggling with my balance on Spring leg - flex foot. I'm fine with my eyes open but when I close my eyes I usually lose my balance. It helps if I keep my chin tucked in, hips relaxed and visualize looking in the distance, like at a setting sun. Anyone have any sugestions that would help with balance? Any other exercises that would be good to do?

: Jim
